Constructor Detail

TransitionMatrixDialog

public TransitionMatrixDialog(java.awt.Frame owner,
                              int n)
This method creates a new Transition Matrix Dialog with a specified frame owner and a specified dimension.

Method Detail

setProbability

public void setProbability(int i,
                           int j,
                           double p)
This method sets the probability of the i, j entry.

Parameters:
i - the row number
j - the column number
p - the probability

setProbabilities

public void setProbabilities(double[][] p)
This method sets the entire array of probabilities.

Parameters:
p - the array of probabilties

getProbabilities

public double[][] getProbabilities()
This method returns the transition probability matrix.

Returns:
the array of probabilities

getProbability

public double getProbability(int i,
                             int j)
This method returns the probability of the i, j entry of the transition probability matrix.

Parameters:
i - the row number
j - the column number
Returns:
the probability

setLabel

public void setLabel(int i,
                     java.lang.String s)
This method sets a specified label.

Parameters:
i - the index
s - the label

setLabels

public void setLabels(java.lang.String[] s)
This method sets the array of labels.

Parameters:
s - the array of labels

actionPerformed

public void actionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent event)
This message handles the event generated when the user clicks on a button. If the user clicks on the OK button, the probability matrix is updated, and error checking is used to make sure that the entries form a valid transition matrix. Thus, the entries must be nonnegative and each row sum must be 1. If the user clicks the Cancel button, no action is taken and the dialog is disposed.

Specified by:
actionPerformed in interface java.awt.event.ActionListener
Parameters:
event - the action event

isOK

public boolean isOK()
This method returns the flag that specifies whether the OK or Cancel button has been pushed.

focusGained

public void focusGained(java.awt.event.FocusEvent e)
This method selects the text in a probability field whenever that field gets the focus.

Specified by:
focusGained in interface java.awt.event.FocusListener
Parameters:
e - the focus event

focusLost

public void focusLost(java.awt.event.FocusEvent e)
This method deselects the text when a probability field loses the focus.

Specified by:
focusLost in interface java.awt.event.FocusListener
Parameters:
e - the focus event

windowClosing

public void windowClosing(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e)
This method handles the event generated when the user clicks the close button; this is equivalent to the Cancel button and the dialog is disposed.

Specified by:
windowClosing in interface java.awt.event.WindowListener
Parameters:
e - the window event

windowOpened

public void windowOpened(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e)
Specified by:
windowOpened in interface java.awt.event.WindowListener

public void windowDeactivated(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e)
Specified by:
windowDeactivated in interface java.awt.event.WindowListener

windowConflicted

public void windowConflicted(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e)

windowIconified

public void windowIconified(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e)
Specified by:
windowIconified in interface java.awt.event.WindowListener

windowDeiconified

public void windowDeiconified(java.awt.event.WindowEvent e)
Specified by:
windowDeiconified in interface java.awt.event.WindowListener
